Camp Twin Lakes
in Rutledge, GA

Camp To Belong Georgia is again preparing to bring Georgia's siblings in care their most exciting and, for many, their first summer camp experience. Approximately 34 siblings in care from throughout Georgia attended CTB-GA in 2009 where they had the opportunity to participate in such thrilling activities as kayaking and conquering the climbing tower with their brothers and sisters.

We are always looking for counselors who are willing to volunteer for one week of life-changing service to Georgia's siblings in care during our camp in 2010. Counselors will work in teams with family groups to break the ice among brothers and sisters who have long been separated, repair the wounds of that separation and participate in the joy of new and renewed bonds. Volunteers will take part in a two-day training, which will be immediately followed by the week of camp. Counselors must be at least 19 years of age, must have been out of high school for at least one year and must be able to pass a comprehensive background check. If you are interested in becoming a counselor, please contact Debby Carty-Campbell, Director of Volunteer Recruitment, at cartcamp@aol.com.

Camp To Belong Georgia is currently working to round up funds and in-kind donations to make our second annual camp as rewarding as possible for the campers. We are still in need of such items as disposable cameras and imprinted t-shirts. To reach our fundraising goal, we must raise $50,000. If you would like to sponsor Camp To Belong Georgia monetarily or through in-kind donations, please contact Kasey Carty-Campbell, Director of Fundraising, at kasecc@hotmail.com.
